FlavorDraft Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the FlavorDraft application, website, and related services (“FlavorDraft” or the “Service”).

By using FlavorDraft, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. What FlavorDraft Does

FlavorDraft helps you capture, import, organize, adapt, and use recipes. Depending on your plan and the features available to you, FlavorDraft may provide:

• recipe imports from websites and supported social/video sources;
• recipe scanning or photo-based recipe capture;
• manual recipe creation and editing;
• recipe organization, favorites, collections, search, and grocery-list features;
• AI-assisted recipe extraction, clarification, and modification;
• account backup and restoration;
• subscription-based Premium features.

Features may evolve over time.

2. Guest Use and Accounts

FlavorDraft may allow you to use parts of the Service without signing in. Guest use may rely on an anonymous internal identifier so the app can operate features such as imports and subscription entitlements.

You may also choose to connect an account using supported sign-in methods such as Sign in with Apple or Google Sign-In.

You are responsible for maintaining access to the account credentials controlled by your sign-in provider and for activity performed through your FlavorDraft account.

Do not attempt to access another person’s account.

3. Your Recipes and Content

You retain your rights in content that you create and provide to FlavorDraft, such as your own recipes, notes, photos, and edits.

You grant FlavorDraft a limited right to process, store, transmit, transform, and display that content only as reasonably necessary to:

• provide the Service;
• sync or restore your account;
• perform imports;
• provide AI-assisted features you request;
• create recipe views, grocery items, or other app functionality;
• maintain and secure the Service.

This permission ends when the content is deleted from FlavorDraft’s active systems, subject to reasonable backup, security, legal, and operational retention.

4. User-Directed Imports and Third-Party Recipes

FlavorDraft lets you import recipe information from third-party websites and supported social/video services that you choose.

When you import a recipe:

• you are directing FlavorDraft to process that particular source;
• FlavorDraft may process public written information, captions, audio, or selected visual information as needed to identify the recipe;
• FlavorDraft may preserve the original source URL and creator/site attribution when available;
• the resulting saved recipe is for your private cookbook unless you choose to share it.

FlavorDraft does not claim ownership of third-party source content.

Third-party recipe artwork, thumbnails, or cover images may be cached locally on your device to keep your cookbook visually stable. FlavorDraft does not use its account backup storage to permanently copy those third-party source images into your FlavorDraft cloud backup. Where possible, FlavorDraft may later re-fetch or refresh the image from the original source using saved source information.

The original website, creator, publisher, or platform may have its own intellectual-property rights and terms. You are responsible for using imported content in a lawful manner and for respecting the rights and terms that apply to the source.

FlavorDraft does not guarantee that a third-party source, source image, or source URL will remain available forever. A source may be changed, removed, restricted, or made unavailable by its owner or platform. If third-party source imagery becomes unavailable, FlavorDraft may display a fallback image.

5. Sharing and Exporting

If FlavorDraft allows you to share or export recipe information, you are responsible for what you choose to share and for having any rights or permissions required for that sharing.

Where available, FlavorDraft may include source attribution or a source link with imported recipe information. Removing or altering source information does not transfer ownership of third-party content to you or to FlavorDraft.

6. AI-Assisted Features

FlavorDraft uses artificial intelligence for features such as recipe extraction, clarification, and suggested recipe modifications.

AI output can be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable for your circumstances. You are responsible for reviewing AI-generated or AI-assisted content before relying on it.

In particular:

• verify ingredients, quantities, and instructions;
• consider allergies and dietary restrictions;
• use appropriate food-safety practices;
• verify safe cooking temperatures and handling of raw ingredients;
• do not treat FlavorDraft as medical, nutritional, or professional dietary advice.

FlavorDraft may show proposed recipe changes before applying them. You remain responsible for deciding whether to accept or use those changes.

7. Subscriptions and Premium Features

FlavorDraft may offer auto-renewable subscriptions through Apple’s App Store.

The price, billing period, trial eligibility, trial duration (if offered), and included Premium features are shown in FlavorDraft and/or on the App Store before you confirm a purchase.

Auto-renewal

Unless you cancel, an auto-renewable subscription renews automatically in accordance with the terms displayed by Apple at purchase.

Apple processes subscription billing and charges your Apple ID payment method.

Free trials

If a free trial is offered and you are eligible, the trial converts to the paid subscription shown before purchase unless you cancel before the trial ends in accordance with Apple’s subscription rules.

Cancelling

You can manage or cancel an App Store subscription through your Apple ID/App Store subscription settings.

Deleting your FlavorDraft account does not cancel an App Store subscription.

Refunds

Refund requests and payment disputes for App Store purchases are handled by Apple under Apple’s applicable policies.

Restore Purchases

Where supported, FlavorDraft provides a way to restore eligible App Store subscription entitlements.

8. Apple Terms

FlavorDraft is distributed through Apple’s App Store. Your use of the iOS application is also subject to Apple’s applicable App Store terms and Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement unless a different valid end-user license agreement is presented to you.

These Terms govern the FlavorDraft Service and supplement, rather than replace, terms that Apple independently applies to your use of the App Store and the licensed iOS application.

9. Acceptable Use

You may not use FlavorDraft to:

• violate applicable law;
• infringe or misappropriate another person’s intellectual-property, privacy, publicity, or other rights;
• access or attempt to access another user’s account or data without permission;
• interfere with, disrupt, probe, or overload FlavorDraft or its infrastructure;
• bypass technical, subscription, access-control, rate-limit, or security measures;
• use automated means to abuse the Service;
• introduce malicious code or attempt to compromise the Service;
• use FlavorDraft in a way that violates the terms of a third-party service or source you choose to access.

We may restrict or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect users, FlavorDraft, third parties, or the integrity of the Service.

10. Third-Party Services

FlavorDraft relies on third-party services, which may include Apple, Google, Supabase, OpenAI, RevenueCat, and third-party recipe/source platforms.

Those services may be subject to their own terms, availability, and privacy practices.

FlavorDraft is not responsible for the continued availability or accuracy of third-party websites, source content, platforms, or services outside our control.

11. Account Deletion

You may delete your FlavorDraft account through the in-app account settings where available.

Account deletion removes your FlavorDraft account and account-linked data from FlavorDraft’s active systems, subject to reasonable legal, security, fraud-prevention, operational, and backup retention.

Account deletion does not:

• cancel an App Store subscription;
• erase Apple’s transaction or subscription records;
• delete content held independently by third-party services or source websites.

If you have an active subscription, manage or cancel it separately through Apple.

12. Service Availability and Changes

We work to keep FlavorDraft available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Imports, AI features, source retrieval, account services, and third-party integrations may occasionally be delayed or unavailable because of network conditions, maintenance, platform changes, third-party outages, or other factors.

We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features where reasonably necessary. If a change materially affects a paid subscription, we will handle access consistent with applicable law and App Store requirements.

13. Disclaimer

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, FlavorDraft is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

We do not guarantee that:

• imported recipes will be complete or error-free;
• AI output will always be accurate;
• third-party source content will remain available;
• FlavorDraft will meet every dietary, nutritional, safety, or personal requirement.

Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or warranties that cannot legally be excluded.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, FlavorDraft and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of the Service.

Where liability cannot legally be excluded, it will be limited only to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

15. Termination

You may stop using FlavorDraft at any time.

We may suspend or terminate access if you materially violate these Terms, misuse the Service, create security or legal risk, or interfere with the rights of others.

Sections that by their nature should continue after termination — including provisions concerning intellectual property, third-party rights, disclaimers, and limitations of liability — will continue to apply.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as FlavorDraft changes.

If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and may provide additional notice where appropriate.

Your continued use of FlavorDraft after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms where permitted by law.
